SGL is currently seeking a co-op student to join our growing team in the Engineering department. You will be working at the head office location in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

**Responsibilities of the Position**:

- Maintain sophisticated aircraft mounted airborne remote sensing equipment;
- Analyze acquisition data for quality control;
- Read and understand electrical and electronic drawings;
- Perform real time software testing;
- Build and test Printed Circuit Boards (PCB);
- Fabricate and test acquisition systems;
- Understand, comply with, and promote all company safety precautions and policies, including reporting hazards and incidents encountered during daily operations;
- Attend and complete training courses and/or company examinations, as required;
- Develop technical and operational knowledge through direct engagement with colleagues, supervisors, and personal development;
- Maintain project schedules and design goals; and
- Perform and complete other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Current enrollment in a postsecondary institution in Electronics Technician/Technologist program or similar related discipline.
- Knowledge of PC assembly and testing;
- Knowledge of circuit board assembly and repair;
- Knowledge of CAD principles and techniques for technical drawings;
- Knowledge of Printed Circuit Board manufacturing principles and design;
- Good report writing skills;
- Good interpersonal communication skills;
- Ability to communicate in multiple languages is an asset; and
- Ability to follow instructions and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
