Lorik Tool and Automation Inc. is a custom automation builder and integrator located in Brantford, Ontario. With over 35 years of experience, we specialize in designing, building, and installing innovative equipment for the Automotive, Pharmaceutical & Consumer industries.
Work setting: Manufacture. Manufacturing or production
As a Material Coordinator you will be responsible for the flow of incoming materials, raw materials, purchased components, and Customer supplied components, receiving material in ERP system, verifying that incoming material matches what was ordered against the purchase order, labeling, stock checks, and inventory organization.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Work with company department managers to determine purchasing needs for ongoing projects
- Requisition or Purchase ordering of materials and supplies
- Effectively communicate and work with suppliers regarding material issues or delays
- Monitor, manage and organize inventory levels utilizing ERP System.
- Monitor movement of supplies and materials between Jobs and inventory.
- Perform routine clerical duties.
- Organize warehouse and work areas.
- Co-ordinate stock activities with production needs.
- Organize and oversee logistics for equipment and components.
- Follow-up on issues with outstanding purchase orders.
- Work with current suppliers while sourcing and cultivating relationships with new ones
**Required Skills and Qualifications**:
- Excellent communication skills, both in oral and written medium
- Superior planning and organization skills with high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in word processing software, spreadsheets, and MS Outlook
- Experience in utilizing MS Excel, MS Word, Adobe Acrobat Reader, and MS Office
- College and university education or experience in Purchasing
