Reporting to the Supervisor, Security & Building Maintenance, the Building & Property Maintenance Worker is accountable and responsible for the daily maintenance, cleanliness and safe condition of the Town Hall.

Job Requirements
- Post secondary courses in a related field combined with demonstrated and progressive experience in building operations and maintenance including a thorough working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry repairs and heating and air conditioning systems (HVAC).
- Working knowledge of fully computerized building control and security systems.
- Janitorial knowledge and the ability to operate cleaning and snow removal equipment (vacuums, scrubbers, snow blower, sweeper, cleaning chemicals etc.).
- General knowledge and experience in the use of tools and equipment.
- Practical working knowledge of health and safety regulations and trained in WHMIS procedures to deal with equipment, cleaning chemicals and facility maintenance.
- Ability to read and comprehend WHMIS labels, complete logs and incident reports.
- Demonstrated proficiency working in an office environment using MS Office (Outlook and Word),.Proficiency with other standard office equipment.
- Current Standard First Aid, CPR-C training.
- Flexibility/availability to work a flexibility work schedule on short notice including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to deal courteously and effectively with staff, Members of Council and general public.
- Class “G” Driver’s License in good standing and a reliable vehicle to use for corporate business.
