Reporting to the Shipping Manager, the Shunt Driver is required to load and unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, vehicles and lifting devices while transporting items from one warehouse to another. The Shunt Driver’s duties include but are not limited to moving products and materials to designated locations, loading and unloading of trucks, minor maintenance work, and full adherence to safety compliance regulations. This position is required to perform other duties as assigned.

**Standard Job Duties**
- Load and unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, vehicles and lifting devices while transporting items from one warehouse to another.
- Pick up or deliver finished goods and or parts from suppliers.
- Review and complete necessary paperwork such as work orders, purchase orders, bill of ladings, etc.
- Maintain good housekeeping standards of the truck being used and communicate with the manager when repair(s) is required.
- Maintain daily logs and tracking documents for work performed.
- Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times.
- Take direction form the Shipping Supervisor.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Manager.

**Requirements**:

- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
- Minimum 3-years experience in driving a Hino or square truck.
- Ability to provide Drivers Abstract Record.
- Valid G Class drivers license.
- Experience with routine maintenance operations.
- Valid Power Walkie Certification or Counter Balance license an asset.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to carry and move equipment and/or supplies in excess of 50 lbs.
- Overtime as required.
