Farmer's Market Assistant

In this role, you will serve as the face of our brand, engaging with customers and promoting our products. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring smooth sales transactions, and contributing to a positive shopping experience for our market visitors. This role requires strong communication skills, sales experience, and the ability to handle cash and food safely.
**Responsibilities**:
- Greet and interact with customers, providing product information and recommendations.
- Manage point-of-sale transactions efficiently and accurately, handling cash and card payments.
- Develop a deep understanding of our products and their benefits, and effectively communicate this information to customers.
- Set up and maintain an attractive, organized market stall, restocking products as needed.
- Follow food handling and safety protocols to ensure the health and safety of customers.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting goods to and from the market, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Work closely with other team members to create a positive and cohesive market experience.
Qualifications:
- valid driver's license
- Proven sales experience, preferably in a retail or market setting
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Familiarity with cash handling and point-of-sale systems.
- Knowledge of food handling and safety protocols is a plus.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for up to 5 hours.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, outdoor market environment.
- Enthusiasm for our brand and a passion for food and local markets.

Pay: $17.50-$21.00 per hour
