**Job Summary**:
We require a hands-on, working telecom foreman responsible for supervising the safe installation and repairing of cable, conduit, waterlines, vaults, and other similar underground items, locating of existing cable, cable placement, and related excavation.

**Duties and Functions, Skills, Abilities and Knowledge**:

- They should have 3 years of direct experience in the industry.
- Positive attitude at all times (including in adverse situations).
- The ability to effectively supervise, schedule, and coordinate crew activities. Takes the lead on all construction activities.
- Ability to communicate effectively with other workers, supervisors and senior management, including documentation
- Possess individual initiative and reliability.
- This position will work hand in hand with our Operations Manager to complete our projects in a timely manner.
- Operates equipment related to the job.
- Takes the lead on all construction activities.
- Hands on supervision of the installation of underground conduits, cables, pedestal, vaults and splice boxes.
- Ability to understand and read utility locate markings and design prints and document additional markings. Knowledge of utility right of ways to interpret daily work assignment.
- Familiar with confined space work and ground disturbance
- Understands and follows all project safety requirements and complete safety reports as required
- Accountable for crew safety, crew guidance and training
- Helps schedule labor, equipment, material deliveries and interaction with other contractors
- Monitor all job resources to enable successful completion of project scope without delay
- Perform daily reporting - detailed employee/equipment hours, production quantities, progress notes and photos, delivery/rental tickets, etc.
- Current 5-year drivers abstract will be requested upon interview.
- Must be able to provide 3 years commercial insurance history or letter of experience if located out of province.
- A valid Class 5 Driver's license is required but a Class 1 or 3 is preferred.

**Salary**: $28.00-$38.00 per hour
