JPS Facility Maintenance is actively seeking experienced snow removal lead-hands to join our sidewalk snow removal program this winter with the opportunity for year-round work.

The schedule for this position is based on the weather (snowfall) and applicable shop duties. Our team responds to all routes on trace accumulation of snow. We utilize new equipment & trucks to complete our sidewalk snow removal.

8-12hr shifts, 4-7 days/week, Overtime paid after 8hrs/day.

**_ To be considered for this position, you must have extensive snow removal experience._**

- **_Valid Driver's License with Clean abstract_**:

- **_Strong leadship skills & work ethic_**:

- **_Availability for nightshifts, on-call 7 days a week_**:

- **_Ability to work up to a 12hr shift_**:

- **_Winter Clothing & PPE: winter steel or composite toed boots, gloves, toque, winter jacket, winter pants, face mask_**

**Role and Responsibilities**
- JPS Ambassador of company culture, safety policies, and professionalism
- Carefully execute duties outlined by dispatch or management.
- Skilled operation of powered sweeping equipment
- Training/motivating new workers
- Ensure all tools and equipment are ready for the shift
- Safe operation of and ability to train the use of pickup truck and trailer
- Safe operation of and ability to train the use of site tools and equipment
- Completion of pre/post & on-site shift Paperwork. (Logs, Safety, hours)
- Ensure all documentation is completed and handed in.

**Qualification Requirements**
- WHMIS, and CSTS (Online)
- Minimum 3 years of snow removal experience
- Class 5 driver's license
- Safe operation of pickup truck and trailer

- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff.
- Aptitude for problem-solving and Critical thinking
- Strong leadership skills
- Safe operation and care for construction tools and equipment
- Ability to work in all weather
- Ability to do physical labour and other strenuous physical tasks.
- Ability to work in all weather
- Workers must be punctual and reliable

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
