As a key role in our **Mississauga Retail Store,** you are the last direct point of contact with the customer and are vital in leaving a lasting impression and customer satisfaction Every day, as part of your duties, you will interact with many customers, each with different needs and often very busy lives. Relevant retail store experience is an asset.

This part-time opportunity is located at our retail store located in Mississauga, Ontario.

15-20 hours per week.

Hourly rate: $18.62 per hour.

Group Benefit entitlement after 3 months continuous employment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Meet and exceed health and safety standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service.
- Ensure accurate product scanning and processing of customer orders.
- Finalize the customer’s choice of payment.
- Execute store-directed promotions and programs.
- Maintain product displays & replenish displays.
- Ensure proper product rotation as required.
- Receiving, handling and storing of product to achieve optimal shelf-life results.
- Ensure pricing integrity.
- Maintain store cleanliness to appropriate standards.
- Access control / security alarm responsibilities.
- Loss prevention.

Any other duties that may be required to ensure safe courteous friendly service, competitively priced products, and a retail store that meets and maintains enhanced hygiene standards.

**Qualifications/Experience**:

- The ability to meet the needs and demands of customers in a friendly, fast and efficient manner.
- Knowledgeable in Halal foods and Islamic tradition is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills and customer service skills.
- Ability to fluently speak, read and write English.
- Ability to physically lift cases of product (up to 10 kg).
- The willingness to work with others and respond quickly to change.
- A focus on detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work with mínimal functional direction.
- Previous retail and/or grocery experience an asset.
- Must satisfactorily pass pre-employment screening (Criminal and Background Check).
