**Position Overview**

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Draft, edit, and finalize technical and regulatory reports, including Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), and other environmental documents.
  • Collaborate with environmental consultants, scientists, and project managers to synthesize field data and technical findings into well-structured reports.
  • Utilize AI-powered tools and LLMs to enhance writing efficiency, automate repetitive tasks, and improve content quality.
  • Ensure all documents adhere to industry standards, regulatory guidelines, and company quality assurance protocols.
  • Conduct research and data analysis to support reporting accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals and other client-facing documents.
  • Manage document formatting, consistency, and grammar for professional readability.
  • Maintain version control and tracking of report revisions and updates.
  • Work within tight deadlines to meet client and regulatory submission timelines.

**Qualifications & Experience**

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Biology, English, Communications, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in technical or scientific writing, preferably in the environmental consulting sector.
  • Strong understanding of environmental regulations and standards in Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered writing tools and Large Language Models (LLMs) to support content generation and efficiency.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret and present complex environmental data in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and document formatting tools.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced consulting environment.
  • Experience with GIS mapping and data visualization (an asset but not required).
