Looking for a full-time Draftsperson responsible for drafting new residential homes.

Responsibilities will include:

- Drafting custom plans
- Able to prepare conceptual drawings using AutoCad, and 3D modelling software.
- Works independently and with clients along side our sales and estimating department bringing projects from conception to permit ready plans.
- Reviewing purchase agreements and Schedules to modify existing plans to meet purchaser's request.
- Understanding and ensuring architectural and structural requirements, building codes, by-laws are followed.
- Interactions with engineers, trades and workers through the process.
- Able to work as a team in office environment
- Attention to detail
- Ensuring that deadlines for projects are met.
- Assisting with bill of materials and coordination for the house package materials as required
- Able to submit architectural design for approval from developer.

Job Qualifications:

- Minimum 3 years drafting experience in residential construction
- Diploma in drafting and architecture.
- Proficiency in AutoCad
- Understanding of local building codes and by laws.
- Self motivated and hardworking individual with excellent communication skills.
- Well organzied, detail oriented and the ability to multi task.
- Ability to interact with other industry professionals and trades.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $20.00-$26.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Bonus pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Edmonton, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- AutoCAD: 3 years (preferred)
- drafting: 3 years (preferred)
