**Position Purpose**:
Under the supervision of the Facilities Manager (Sports Facilities), the Facilities attendant supervises day-to-day operations of sports facilities. Ensures all facilities are functional and safe in order to create a positive experience for users. Acts as support person for all services involved running the programs taking place in sports facilities and for meeting users’ needs.

**In this role you will**:
Conduct ongoing site monitoring and documents the inspection of facilities and associated equipment to ensure compliance with the risk management plan.

Perform all minor repairs to equipment and materials and report to supervisor required information regarding major repairs or breakdowns.

Report to supervisor problems such as mechanical breakdowns, abnormal ice temperature changes, critical accidents/incidents, and any complaints regarding equipment, facilities, and personnel.

Install and secure sports equipment for activities identified by Sports Services.

**What you will bring**:
High school diploma

Knowledge of principles governing the protection of individuals and property

Valid first aid, CPR and AED certification issued by a recognized Canadian organization

Experience in sports-related field considered an asset

Ability to work well independently and in a team; good interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to work outside regular business hours during busy periods (evenings and weekends), as needed by Sports Services

Ability to handle and lift loads up to 25 kilos

Initiative and resourcefulness

Bilingualism - French and English (spoken and written)
