The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is currently seeking a full-time, permanent Information and Privacy Officer. Reporting to the Manager of Health Information Services and Privacy, the Information and Privacy Officer will be responsible for managing all aspects of the privacy program, including program implementation and monitoring, policy development, procedures, stakeholder relations, investigations and auditing, education and awareness initiatives, including promoting activities to foster information and privacy awareness within the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health. The Information and Privacy Officer also advises and leads junior staff and Health Records staff that support the delivery and management of the privacy program.

Your accountabilities will include processing access and correction requests under the _Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act_ (FIPPA) and correction requests under the _Personal Health Information Protection Act_ (PHIPA). You will also be responsible for developing compliance strategies, ensuring regulatory compliance, investigating privacy complaints and incidents, conducting audits, conducting privacy reviews / reviewing privacy impact assessments, and developing policies, procedures and training materials relating to privacy compliance with both _PHIPA_ and _FIPPA_. In addition to internal activities, your role will include representing CAMH with external partners, participating and implementing provincial or national initiatives as well as keeping up to date on emerging trends and practices related to information and privacy. You will support a healthy workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork and complies with all applicable regulatory and legislative requirements. This position is located at 1001 Queen Street West.
