Warehouse Team Lead

**ROLE SUMMARY AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- **Shift Supervisor**:Oversee assigned shifts, ensuring performance goals are met and team hours are effectively managed. Provide leadership and direction to maintain efficient daily operations. Monitor and enforce compliance with standard operating procedures.
- **Support Warehouse Operations**: Be prepared and willing to support all areas of the warehouse and facility as needed, including (but not limited to): building pallets, filling C02, moving equipment, loading trucks, fulfilling orders, receiving shipments, maintaining the facility, and assisting other departments.
- **Inventory Management**:Assist with inventory control under the guidance of the Warehouse Manager. Responsibilities include conducting data counts, enforcing FIFO (First-In-First-Out) procedures, and understanding PAR (Periodic Automatic Replacement) levels.
- **Quality Control**:Conduct regular spot checks to ensure all pallets are properly and safely built to Coca-Cola standards.
- **People Leadership**: Coach and train both new and existing team members. As the lead trainer, this role is responsible for onboarding and ongoing training, as well as contributing to the development and improvement of training materials. Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise within the team and address performance concerns through coaching and mentoring.
- **Safety and Compliance**: Ensure all warehouse safety protocols are followed during assigned shifts. Maintain accurate safety documentation, coordinate safety-related training and certifications, and promote a culture of safety.
- **Backfill for Warehouse Manager**:Be willing and available to cover morning shifts as needed to support or temporarily replace the Warehouse Manager. During these times, oversee inventory, ordering, fulfillment, dispatch, and fleet coordination.
- **Fleet and Facilities Management**:Assist with fleet and facility-related tasks as assigned by the Warehouse Manager, contributing to the upkeep and efficiency of operations. The Team Lead may be asked to be on the call our list for alarms.
**GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES**
- **Safety First**: Wear proper safety equipment and take safety seriously. If you see something, say something. Work with Management to ensure all safety requirements determined by Alberta Health, WCB and/or the Company are upheld. It is important to note that disregard for mandated safety requirements will result in termination of your employment.
- **Data Excellence**:Must have a strong understanding of the importance of data management as it applies to our day-to-day processes and use of Computer systems. This includes but is not limited to inventory counts, ordering product when backfilling,
- **Teamwork**: Support and contribute to a fun, respectful work environment by being an exceptional teammate. Collaborate with other team members, such as sales representatives, delivery, M.A.C Leasing and Vending, front office; everyone
- **Continuous Improvement**: Identify areas for process improvement and implement efficient warehouse practices to enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness.
- **Physical Requirements**: Must be capable of lifting to 75lbs repeatedly in a safe manner as directed by Management and WCB requirements. This role often involves heavy lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods, so physical fitness and stamina are essential.

**Qualifications**
- High school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a warehouse environment.
- Minimum 1 Year of Leadership Experience
- Forklift experience, certification is an asset
- Valid Class 5 License; Class 1 or 3 is an asset
- WHMIS and First Aid certifications are assets (or willingness to obtain)
- Must be proficient in computer systems, experience working with ERPs, Warehouse Management Systems and or Operating Systems is an asset
- Must have a general understanding and knowledge or truck and trailer logistics and systems
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate with team members and other departments.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, including receiving, order fulfilment, and inventory control.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members and other departments.
- Experience working with Coca-Cola products or similar beverage distribution is a plus
- Drivers Abstract and Criminal Record Check may be requested
**Regular Hours**
- 11:00 am - 7:30 PM or close
- When back filling for Warehouse Manager 5:00 AM - 2:00 PM
