So if you’re looking to do what you love, we could be perfect for each other. **Our expectations**: The Storage Administrator will be responsible for the general maintenance and upkeep of the storage environment so that they are always functional, to ensure business continuity. In this role, you will work closely with the infrastructure team. You will report to the IT infrastructure director. **Your role**: - Maintain storage infrastructure across multiple sites - Deploy storage changes and patching (hardware/software) - Maintain systems administration documentation and disaster recovery procedures - Ensure performance specifications are met - Resolve incidents and system problems (hardware, operating system, software, network) - Ensure system data security (backup strategies) - Manage tape libraries - Implement and monitor data replication between multiple sites - Participate in an on-call rotation to handle production impacting issues. - Equipment maintenance and part replacement (Drives, controllers, SFP, etc.) - Maintain and test disaster recovery procedures **The qualifications we are looking for**: - Have five (5) years of IT experience in IBM storage environments (SVC, Storwize and Flashsystem) - Have in-depth knowledge of IBM Spectrum Protect and IBM Spectrum Protect Plus - Have in-depth knowledge of IBM Copy Data Manager - Have in-depth knowledge of Brocade SAN switches and management tools - Have working knowledge of NAS systems (NFS, CIFS protocols) - Have working knowledge of backup management tools (preferably Spectrum Protect) - Have working knowledge of A IX, Linux, VMware, and Windows - Have working knowledge of IBM pSeries, Intel, blade centers and their configurations - Have practical knowledge of network components (cabling, router and others, "firewall", TCP / IP) - Have problem-solving skills - Ability to work under pressure - Have working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools By joining the RONA family, you’ll enjoy many benefits, such as: - A fitness centre, sports activities, and showers - A childcare centre that can accommodate up to 78 children - A cafeteria with a delicious menu prepared by a dedicated chef, healthy options, as well as FARO Roasting Houses and Tim Hortons coffee stations - Exclusive employee discounts, plus a 10% discount on store merchandise (at all Lowe’s Canada locations) - Benefits: retirement savings plan, annual bonuses, student incentive program, etc. - Electric car charging stations - Career growth opportunities within the company - An inclusive and safe working environment - Promotion of work-life balance - An employer that’s involved in the community - And much more
