**(Process Mechanical - Construction)**

Maple Reinders Constructors Ltd. is looking for a Mechanical Manager to join our Civil Division. This role will bring leadership to our Process Mechanical team, including office staff and craft labour. You will have the opportunity to manage exciting projects working alongside other construction professionals who are passionate about the work they do. Leadership and accountability is the key to a successful project.

Along with their team, the Mechanical Manager will complete all facets of process mechanical installations, including planning, procuring, tracking and execution; working to ensure that goals are met and communication is maintained. This is your chance to work with one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies as part of a dynamic team of construction professionals

**Requirements**:

- ** Developing successful relationships with clients, consultants, sub-contractors, suppliers and other project stakeholders.**:

- ** Effectively managing the Process Mechanical scopewith the skills they have and following Maple Reinders’ process and procedures ensuring each project is delivered with quality and consistency.**:

- ** Sharing your knowledge by mentoring Assistant Project Managers, Coordinators and Tradespersons, guiding them to progress in their careers.**:

- ** Support and/or lead the entire mechanical bid from the concept to completion of the tender**:

- ** Identify the true cost of items (labour, material and equipment etc.) at every stage of the process**:

- ** Determine along the way if the cost of the items are feasible to the owner**:

- ** Be involved and proactive at the early development and validation stage of the project with regards to mechanical scope. This includes design review, work sequence optimization, fabrication to site sequence all in close cooperation with the project team members**:

- ** Plans and implements a mechanical construction program, including defining the work plan, activities, milestones, and equipment and manpower** requirements.**:

- **Provides direction and input to the project schedule and budget with regards to mechanical scope and understanding the interfaces to other trades**:

- **Ensure Maple self perform mechanical projects are staffed with competent and qualified trades (including trades leadership) resources to meet the project needs.**:

- ** Maintain strong relationships with Maple’s trade unions, sourcing labour when needed**:

- ** Advises on mechanical construction related activities relating to technical field developments, scheduling and resolving engineering design problems.**:

- **Working knowledge of Construction Work Packages and Earned Value Management**:

- ** Provides input to mechanical procurement activities including validation of material specifications, preparation of purchase orders, material tracking and ensuring traceability of materials when installed in the field.**:

- **Active involvement in quality assurance with regards to understating and implementing Maple’s policies and procedure**:

- ** Responsibility / Accountability for the entire Div 11 and 15 scopes of work.**

Qualifications:

- **Demonstrated ability to lead a team including office staff and skilled trades.**:

- **Intimate knowledge of process mechanical installations, ideally in a Water/Wastewater environment**:

- ** Reading & interpreting interferences from all drawings including PNID’s**:

- ** Experience in estimating is an asset.**:

- **Experience with various pipe commodities including Steel, Stainless Steel, PVC, HDPE, Glasslined etc.**:

- **Able to install various types of mechanical equipment**:

- **Mechanical bolt-up**:

- ** Experience with industrial and/or commercial construction is an asset**:

- ** Provide guidance and coordinate the activities of a Process Mechanical Installation Crew**:

- **Able to delegate tasks and follow-up**:

- ** Journeyperson plumbing or pipefitting certification, or PENG/CET Designation**
