This role is pivotal in delivering a high standard of care, with a special focus on contact lens management and patient education.
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Patient Assistance**: Help patients select frames and lenses, providing expert guidance on style, fit, and lens options tailored to individual needs.
- **Preliminary Testing**: Conduct preliminary eye exams and pre-testing to assist the optometrist in assessments.
- **Contact Lens Expertise**: Specialize in contact lens care and fittings, guiding patients in the correct use, insertion, removal, and maintenance of their lenses.
- **Inventory Management**: Oversee contact lens inventory, ensuring a wide selection of brands and lens types are available.
- **Lifestyle-Focused Recommendations**: Advise patients on contact lens options suited to their lifestyle and the optometrist’s recommendations.
- **Administrative Duties**: Schedule appointments, maintain accurate patient records, and handle billing and payments.
- **Collaborative Patient Care**: Work closely with the optometrist to deliver personalized care, recommending appropriate vision solutions based on patient needs.
- **Professional Development**: Stay informed on advancements in contact lens technology and trends to offer patients the best care.
- **Clinic Maintenance**: Ensure a clean, organized, and welcoming environment within the clinic.
- **Customer Service**: Provide compassionate and professional service, creating a positive and inviting experience for all patients.
**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in an optical or healthcare setting is an asset but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-centered approach.
- Detail-oriented, with the ability to multitask in a busy clinic environment.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methods in eye care.

**How to Apply**
Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
