The **Tenant Support Worker (TSW)** role offers you the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who need it most. With a focus on providing cultural, emotional, and practical support to tenants, you will play a crucial role in helping individuals overcome the challenges they face, whether it’s overcoming homelessness, coping with trauma, or navigating medical, mental health, or addiction issues. In this role, your work will directly contribute to improving the quality of life and self-sufficiency of tenants, fostering a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Build trusting, respectful relationships with tenants from diverse backgrounds.
- Offer direct emotional, cultural, and practical support to help tenants succeed in their living environments.
- Work closely with tenants to develop personalized support plans and connect them with essential resources and services.
- Provide crisis intervention and mediation support to ensure a safe and stable environment.
- Facilitate community-building initiatives, such as tenant programs and activities, to foster connection and engagement.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure the success of tenant services and programs.

**What We’re Looking For**:

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a natural ability to build rapport and trust with individuals from diverse and multi-barriered backgrounds.
- Demonstrated experience in crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and mediation.
- A deep understanding of social housing, Indigenous communities, and the challenges faced by people dealing with issues such as homelessness, addiction, and mental health.
- Cultural sensitivity and a commitment to respecting the traditions, customs, and values of the Squamish Nation.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Salary Range $27.00 - $28.75/hour
