Our Department leads the Canadian SuperDARN operation and chairs the international ten-nation SuperDARN collaboration. **SuperDARN Canada** operations are supported by the **CFI MSI (Major Science Initiatives) program**, making SuperDARN Canada a national research facility. SuperDARN Canada is also supported by the Canadian Space Agency and Innovation Saskatchewan. SuperDARN enables theoretical and experimental research, as well as produces a rich dataset covering three solar cycles obtained by combining data from all SuperDARN partners. The University of Saskatchewan is a founding partner in the SuperDARN collaboration, dating back to the early 1990s. The SuperDARN Canada research and engineering team is involved in system-level space science, ionospheric physics research, and leading-edge radar engineering design. In addition to its research activities, SuperDARN Canada supports important experiential learning opportunities at the facility, including engineering capstone designs and student internships.

Assistant Professor: $110,489 to $131,909; Associate Professor: $131,909 to $153,329; Professor $153,329 to $178,319
In addition to regular salary increases, faculty may be awarded special increases for meritorious work. This position is anticipated to be at the Assistant Professor level.
This position includes a comprehensive benefits package which includes a dental, health and extended vision care plan; pension plan, life insurance (compulsory and voluntary), academic long term disability, sick leave, travel insurance, death benefits, an employee assistance program, a professional expense allowance, and a flexible health and wellness spending program.
