**Opening Statement**
The R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home is a Long-Term Care Home to 136 Residents and employs approx. 250 staff in various Departments.
- _Position Scope: As a Custodial, you are a contributing member of the Care team working with CCA’s under the direction of the RN/LPN. Providing compassionate care is physically and emotionally demanding. Respect for each client’s (residents) privacy and dignity is critical, as are active listening, patience and a positive attitude.
**Skills & Abilities Required **Minimum Grade 12
**Qualifications required **Experience in Health Care with persons with Dementia/Alzheimer’s, Mental illness & or Challenging Behaviors. Experience in Conflict Management NCPI (nonviolent crisis intervention training and or GPA Gentle Persuasion) an asset. Experience in Long Term Care an asset. Regular and consistent attendance is essential.
**Hours of Work (Subject to change)**
Casual hours (can work up to 80 Hrs. Biweekly if hours available)
Hours: according to need: 7am-7 pm, 8am-6 pm, 7pm-7am, 8am-8 pm.
(Need coverage for** Days and Night Shifts weekdays or weekends)**
**Rate: $ 17.03310/hr.**
