We are currently recruiting **Security Guards **to join our growing team providing security services in a variety of different settings ranging from healthcare institutions to retail and industrial locations. We are currently seeking licensed Security Guards for **full-time** hours **Paid training includes**: - Infection Control, COVID-19 screening & testing - Gentle Persuasive Approaches (GPA) - Responding to Responsive Behaviours in Long Term Care **Security Guard responsibilities**: - Protecting people, assets & property at client locations - Monitoring access points using surveillance & alarm systems - Assist with High Intensity Needs Residents in Long Term Care settings on a 1:1 basis - Conducting preventive surveillance - Providing impeccable customer service - Preventing fire, theft & vandalism through vigilance - Verifying & inspecting all safety equipment - Enforcing client property regulations - Writing reports - Take temperatures for the staff/visitors who enter the client's property - Assist with screening measures such as asking specific screening questions and other measures that may be implemented **Security Guard requirements**: - Valid Standard First Aid & CPR certification (LEVEL C) **(Must be from a Red Cross trained organization)**: - Must pass Vulnerable Police Check (VPC) **(REQUIRED)**: - **3 **COVID-19 Vaccinations (required in LTC) - Valid Driver's License **(REQUIRED)**: - Own vehicle or reliable method of transportation **(REQUIRED)**: - Willing to travel out of Sarnia for locations such as Petrolia, Wallaceburg & Chatham - Previous security guard experience, or experience within Long Term Care or working with the elderly is an asset - Full availability including nights, days, afternoons, weekends & statutory holidays, 8 to 10 hour shifts - Proactive, attention-to-detail, self-motivated, team players We are an equal opportunity employer and considers all qualified applicants equally without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran status, or disability status. **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent **Salary**: $15.50-$18.00 per hour **Benefits**: - Dental care - Extended health care - Vision care Flexible Language Requirement: - French not required Schedule: - 10 hour shift - 12 hour shift - 8 hour shift - Day shift - Night shift - Weekend availability Supplemental pay types: - Overtime pay Licence/Certification: - Ontario Security Guard License (required) - COVID-19 Vaccination (At least 3 doses) (required) - Ontario "G" Driver's License and your own vehicle (required) Work Location: One location
