**Schedule**:Friday - Sunday 3pm - 11pm. **Days off**: Monday - Thursday

Under the direction of the Program Manager, the Rehab Worker is responsible for the delivery of gender specific, trauma
- informed care for people who may have or have experienced homelessness; severe addictions, mental illness, trauma, family, cultural and / or community disconnection, involvement with the criminal justice, physical health and behavioral issues. The Rehab Worker will use graduated and structured client-centered interventions to help clients with transition to living in the community, integrating the principles of psychosocial rehabilitation, harm reduction, motivational enhancement, a strength-based framework, gender centered relational care, trauma-informed care and other evidence-based best practices that improve clients’ ability to function in all aspects of life.

**Job Qualifications**
- Required Qualifications
- Diploma in Community Social Service
- Recent, related experience of two years Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience or other qualifications determined to be reasonable and relevant to the level of work
- Ability to obtain the following upon hire:

- Certificates in First Aid + CPR
- WHMIS
- Ministry of Justice Criminal Record Clearance
- TB Clearance (done within past 6 months)
- Foodsafe

**Knowledge and Abilities**
- Ability to work with people with a mental illness.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
- Ability to work independently and in cooperation with others.
- Ability to operate related equipment.
- Ability to establish and maintain rapport with clients.
- Ability to observe and recognize changes in clients.
- Ability and willingness to understand and work with adults who have been found not criminally responsible on account of a mental disorder.
- Knowledge of the criminal justice system.
- Life skills training and experience.
- Good organizational and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate groups.
