**Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Provide direct support to shelter guests, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.
- Assist guests in accessing services such as housing, healthcare, and employment resources.
- Conduct intake assessments and maintain accurate records of guest interactions and progress.
- Monitor the shelter environment for safety concerns and address any issues promptly.
- Provide crisis intervention as needed, offering emotional support and guidance to guests.
- Uphold confidentiality standards while respecting the dignity of all individuals served.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in social services, counseling, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of community resources related to homelessness and social services is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- A commitment to advocating for the rights and needs of vulnerable populations.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $21.00-$22.00 per hour
