**About Us**:
The Faculty of Health Sciences is a large, diverse, and comprehensive unit, comprised of seven Schools (Nursing, Kinesiology, Health Studies, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Communication Sciences and Disorders and Food and Nutritional Sciences), a large Interdisciplinary Graduate Program in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences and four Research Centers. The Faculty has more than 4,000 undergraduate students and more than 900 graduate students (200 PhD students).
**Course Information**:
APPLHSCI 9011: Introduction To Research Methods
This course provides students with an introduction to the common quantitative and qualitative approaches to research through topics such as design, sampling, measurement and interpretation.
Students will engage in learning activities that focus on the basic concepts and terminology surrounding quantitative and qualitative research to lay the groundwork for further advanced understanding. Throughout this course students will evaluate the methodological features of qualitative and quantitative research studies in published literature.
Note: This course is cross-listed with the course HEALTSCI 9601.
**Responsibilities**:
You will be responsible for all activities associated with the successful delivery of the course, including but not limited to: developing, preparing, and delivering the course; setting and marking examinations, assessing the academic work of students, and reporting grades.
**Qualifications**:
