We seek excellent students, faculty, and staff to join us in what has become known as the "Western Experience" - an opportunity to contribute to a better world through the development of new knowledge, new abilities, new connections, and new ways to make a difference. **About Us**: **Course Information**: The Canadian College of Health Leaders (CCHL) has identified Western’s Advanced Health Care Practice graduate program as offering an equivalent to LEADS Learning Series and LEADS in Actions project (two of four requirements for earning a CHE designation from the CCHL). The Capstone Course will fulfil the LEADS in Action project component of the CHE. The successful applicant will serve as an Academic Advisor to students pursuing the CHE designation as well as other students whose primary focus is health leadership. Students will identify potential mentorship opportunities within their own networks. Together with the Mentor(s), the Academic Advisor will support students to identify and complete the capstone experience milestones. A minimum of 100 hours will be completed under the supervision of one or more approved mentors in a health setting. Students will consult with their Mentor(s) and Academic Advisor to determine learning outcomes and deliverables for the duration of the capstone course. The Academic Advisor is responsible for vetting potential Mentors, meeting with students and their Mentor(s) to create learning agreements, conducting midterm and final assessments of student progress, and evaluating the student’s portfolio of evidence supporting their learning achievements. **Responsibilities**: You will be responsible for all activities associated with the successful delivery of the course, including but not limited to: developing, preparing, and delivering the course; setting and marking examinations, assessing the academic work of students, and reporting grades. **Qualifications**: In accordance with the Faculty Collective Agreement, consideration of applicants will include an assessment of previous performance, experience, and qualifications, including qualifications which go beyond the requirements for the position.
