**Responsibilities**

  • Provide high-quality ski or snowboard instruction to guests, focusing on safety, skill development, and enjoyment
  • Customize lessons based on individual guest needs, incorporating freestyle or big mountain elements as appropriate
  • Demonstrate advanced technical skills in Freestyle (e.g., park and pipe) or Big Mountain (e.g., off-piste, steep terrain) settings
  • Foster a positive and engaging learning environment that encourages guests to challenge themselves.
  • Checking in/out with supervisors
  • Understanding and delivering the snow school on-snow product
  • Assisting in operational support of resort operations as required
  • Continually Improving own technical skills to better serve guests
  • Arriving in a timely manner for your daily lesson, ready to teach
  • Conducting safe, fun and technical lessons to all ages and abilities
  • Managing splits in ability levels and a variety of group dynamics
  • Be polite, patient, understanding, and have a positive attitude
  • Helping to create amazing guest experiences
  • Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**

  • Passion for the ski industry and culture
  • A sense of teamwork and community
  • Hold the following certifications: CSIA/CASI/PISC Level 2 (or international equivalent)
  • CAA AST 1 is considered an asset
  • Additional certifications are considered an asset

**Work Experience**

  • Experience teaching in an alpine resort similar to Castle Mountain Resort an asset
  • Proven experience and proficiency in Freestyle (terrain park, jumps, rails) or Big Mountain (off-piste, steep terrain) environments

**Where We Are**

  • Castle Mountain Resort is located at the end of Highway 774, near Pincher Creek, AB. This is a remote work location. There is a communal living Staff Accommodation building on-site for new and returning non-supervisory, seasonal employees. **Work Conditions**

  • Strong skiing/snowboarding ability
  • Physically fit and able to instruct in a variety of weather conditions
  • Comfortable interacting with guests of different ages in a variety of instructing situations

  • Ability to obtain a clear Vulnerable Sector Criminal Reference Check
