**Responsibilities**:

- Provide high-quality ski or snowboard instruction to guests, focusing on safety, skill development, and enjoyment
- Customize lessons based on individual guest needs, incorporating freestyle or big mountain elements as appropriate
- Demonstrate advanced technical skills in Freestyle (e.g., park and pipe) or Big Mountain (e.g., off-piste, steep terrain) settings
- Foster a positive and engaging learning environment that encourages guests to challenge themselves.
- Checking in/out with supervisors
- Understanding and delivering the snow school on-snow product
- Assisting in operational support of resort operations as required
- Continually Improving own technical skills to better serve guests
- Arriving in a timely manner for your daily lesson, ready to teach
- Conducting safe, fun and technical lessons to all ages and abilities
- Managing splits in ability levels and a variety of group dynamics
- Be polite, patient, understanding, and have a positive attitude
- Helping to create amazing guest experiences
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Passion for the ski industry and culture
- A sense of teamwork and community
- Hold the following certifications: CSIA/CASI/PISC Level 2 (or international equivalent)
- CAA AST 1 is considered an asset
- Additional certifications are considered an asset

**Work Experience**:

- Experience teaching in an alpine resort similar to Castle Mountain Resort an asset
- Proven experience and proficiency in Freestyle (terrain park, jumps, rails) or Big Mountain (off-piste, steep terrain) environments

**Where We Are**:

- Castle Mountain Resort is located at the end of Highway 774, near Pincher Creek, AB. This is a remote work location. There is a communal living Staff Accommodation building on-site for new and returning non-supervisory, seasonal employees. **Employment Level**:

**Work Conditions**:

- Strong skiing/snowboarding ability
- Physically fit and able to instruct in a variety of weather conditions
- Comfortable interacting with guests of different ages in a variety of instructing situations

- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Ability to obtain a clear Vulnerable Sector Criminal Reference Check
