1) Determine how food should be presented, and create decorative food displays.

2) Follow instructions from Head Cook on preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food.

3) Follows all safe food handling and infection control practices ensuring the kitchen is held to the health departments standards at all time.

4) Monitor sanitation practices to ensure that employees follow standards and regulation requirements under the RHRA and Public Health.

5) Receive and count food orders taking inventory of quantities; report discrepancies and damages to administration

6) Prepare and cook foods on time and fresh daily of all types for residents within all nutritional needs and allergy requirements.

7) Ensure visually pleasing plated meals with controlled portions.

8) Collaborate with other personnel to plan and develop recipes and menus, taking into account such factors as seasonal availability of ingredients and number of current residents.

9) Check the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met.

10) Check the quantity and quality of received products.

11) Recording Fridge/freezer/meal temperature readings and alerting management of any unsafe readings immediately.

12) Follow the schedule set out by the Head Cook, full cleaning and organization of the kitchen, storage, fridges and freezers both in the kitchen area and or located on different floors.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Casual, Apprenticeship

Pay: $17.20-$19.00 per hour
