**OVERVIEW**:Quality of our parts and our process are essential to our growing success and reputation. Having competent controllers of these two core aspects of our program position us to grow and succeed. These competent controllers are defined as follows:
**JOB DESCRIPTION**

Tooling personnel consist of two main tiers of proficiency. A tool attendant is responsible for conducting low risk directives such as picking and setting tools in accordance with a list or other reference. A tool specialist is outlined in Class 3 and 4 tasks, and is responsible for making dynamic choices based on variables such as material, machine, set up and CAM files. Both roles are critical in the creation of parts produced in tolerance and on time. The tooling workers are expected to posture their development within the framework of B&R’s core values.

**REQUIREMENTS**

EXPERIENCE
- Experience with tools used in an aerospace environment an asset, but not required

EDUCATION
- Knowledge of machine tools and geometries an asset, but not required

**TASKS**

TOOL SETTING/KNOWLEDGE
- Set tools according to set up sheets
- Must demonstrate ability to find substitute tools
- Have understanding of tool types and uses
- Have advanced understanding of tool geometry
- Manual modification of tools as required

ORGANIZATION
- Picking and returning of tools
- Inventory
- Cleanliness of work space
- Maintain and adhere to protocols
- Creation of protocols (if authorized)
- Add/remove items from inventory
- Ensuring all active items are labelled and stored in a safe fashion in accordance with shop 5S standards

JOB
- Collect job components as assigned by the BOM
- Return items upon job completion
- Provide communications to scheduling and technical lead as to job preparation status
- Purchase request issuing when required items are unavailable
- Awareness of machine status and current equipment (tools, peripherals)
- Scheduling support

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $16.00-$25.00 per hour
