Locally owned Chateau Victoria Hotel & Suites is seeking a hands-on, driven leader to fill the position of Bar Manager for Clive’s Classic Lounge.

Clive’s Classic Lounge is one of Victoria’s most awarded cocktail bars, recognized by Tales of the Cocktail, EAT Magazine, Canada 100, Enroute, and YAM Magazine. Our cocktail program focus is creativity and quality, blending approachability with elevated, experimental flavors—always without pretension.

Reporting directly to the Food & Beverage Manager, the Bar Manager will manage the day-to-day operations of the Lounge, develop and manage the bar program and take on administrative duties such as scheduling, payroll, inventory and product ordering.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Recruit, train and lead the Clive’s team, fostering collaboration and a positive work environment with the goal of providing an exceptional cocktail experience for all guests.
- Design, create and maintain innovative and elevated cocktail menus that align with Clive’s vision.
- Monitor labour costs, manage a budget, and implement financial controls to meet the hotels’ objectives.
- Maintain strong internal communication with hotel departments to enhance the guest experience.
- Participate in regular operational meetings with both departmental and hotel leaders.
- Ensure a clean and safe working environment for our team, promoting health and safety.
- Represent Clive’s at industry events and/or trade shows to strengthen our presence within the local community.
- Fulfill some shifts on the Bar ensuring Clive’s runs flawlessly. Shifts will include evenings, weekends and holidays.
