Do you have experience working with animals, as a receptionist or in the veterinary industry? Then look no further because we have the job for you

**Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Answering incoming phone calls, returning client calls and relaying information from the doctor to our pet parents
- Unpacking daily orders (food, medications and hospital supplies) and notifying clients when orders are ready for pick up
- Scheduling appointments and surgeries using AVImark (practice management software)
- Performing appointment reminders for clients and patient reminders
- Documenting all communication and keeping patient/client files up to date and accurate
- Processing payments
- Other administrative tasks as necessary
- Helping clients during stressful and difficult times
- Last but not least greeting our amazing clients and their adorable pets

**Experience and skills**:

- 1 year of veterinary reception experience is preferred however not required
- Experience using AVImark is an asset
- Experience working with animals is an asset
- Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
- Teamwork skills and the ability to work independently is essential
- Problem solving skills
- Strong listening skills
- Detail oriented

Compensation will vary with experience and will be discussed at the time of the interview.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $17.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
We are allowing clients to enter our clinic for food and medication pick ups. We are also allowing clients to attend appointments with their pets. Our mask mandate has been removed however we ask clients and staff to wear a mask if they are ill.

**Experience**:

- Veterinary Receptionist: 1 year (preferred)
- Receptionist: 1 year (preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (required)
