**What you will be doing**:

- Break down muscles from whole animal carcasses
- Clean and cut various cuts meat to specifications for retail and our Kitchen Team needs
- Weighing, packaging, labeling, pricing, and displaying products
- Cutting, grinding, and preparing for the meat counter
- Cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment and ensuring displays and signage are accurate and attractive
- Helps manage inventory (FIFO)
- Helps receive whole animals and performs quality inspections on meats and other products.
- Adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Greeting and speaking to customers, providing advice, answering questions, and fulfilling special orders.
- Coordinating and receiving inter-department transfers to proper location
- The opportunity to work with ethically and sustainably raised meats
