**Job Summary**
The Data Analyst extracts insights and value from WayBase’s data in order to support internal reporting objectives as well as complete analytical projects for external clients.

WayBase collects data on the Christian sector, such as organizations, programs, causes, and staff. By combining it with open data such as those provided by StatCan, CRA, and others, we look for opportunities on how people can identify gaps and effectively partner together to make a measurable impact on communities.

This role is full-time, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm ET (40 hours per week).

**Location**

WayBase Offices: Nuvo Network 1295 N Service Rd, Burlington, ON L7R 4M2 - Until further notice, this role will be 100% remote. If COVID restrictions are lifted, the successful applicant may be required to work in the office 1 day per week.

**Responsibilities**:
The Data Analyst supports internal operations by:

- Building standard summary reporting that provides an overview of the business and its operations
- Creating data integrity reports to identify problems that require correction
- Producing content in the form of topical studies and survey data analyses
- Responding to ad hoc data queries by members of the Engagement Team
- Support the Data Management Team with implementing more complex systematic fixes (e.g. update queries or bulk updates)

The Data Analyst also works with external clients on end-to-end projects to define requirements for analytical projects, propose a methodology, execute, and communicate results.

**Basic Qualifications**
- At least 3 years of work experience in data analysis using Python
- At least 3 years work/volunteer experience in the Christian sector with a knowledge of the types of organizations in the space
- Experience using API’s to retrieve and send data
- Tableau or other data visualization software
- Github/Bitbucket
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly around story-telling and explaining complex analysis in simple language
- Ability to self-manage projects
- Independent problem-solving skills

**Preferred Qualifications**
- MongoDB, Elasticsearch, or similar document databases
- Geospatial analysis and GIS tools (e.g. QGIS, ArcGIS)
- CRM’s (e.g. Zoho CRM, Salesforce)
- Community assessment or social impact measurement
- Business analysis experience
- Post-secondary degree in a quantitative field
- Javascript
