Invisible Mender/Fabric Restoration Specialist

**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
This is an amazing opportunity for someone with a talent to restore all kinds of fabrics to their original form. We are looking for a full-time invisible mender/ fabric restoration specialist. Minimum 5 years of experience with invisible mending techniques.

**Responsibilities**:

- Reproduce the fabric structure as the original cloth;
- Examine fabric for inspection and grading for restoration;
- Have an understanding of different cloth structures including weaving, knitting, crocheting, felted, etc;
- Have an understanding of color theory and how materials age;
- Reconstruct the warp and weft to match the original weave;
- Prevent the deformation of the fabric that would reveal the mending;
- Be efficient and on task during working hours;
- Maintaining a positive and supportive work environment.

**Types of fabric**:

- Clothing, curtains, furniture fabric, cushions including suit fabrics, wool, and cashmere.

- Ability to distinguish between colors;
- Attention to detail;
- Bending, crouching, kneeling;
- Combination of sitting, standing, and walking;
- Hand-eye coordination;
- Manual dexterity;
- Repetitive tasks.

**Job Details**:

- Toronto, Ontario Canada;
- Salary: 50/50 split;
- Permanent employment - full-time;
- Employment hours: 40.00 - 48.00 / week;
- Daytime / 8 - 10-hour shift;
- Start as soon as possible;
- Reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work required.
