The Packaging & Logistics Supervisor is responsible for leading and directing the Packaging, Warehouse, & Logistics teams; driving the daily and weekly Master Packaging Schedule to ensure demands are met; arranging the shipment and receiving of products, organizing the warehouse area for storage of materials, managing compliance with Health and Safety, GMP and statutory/regulatory requirements.

**ROLE SPECIFIC RESPONSIBLITIES**:

- Manage all aspects of packaging and delivery needs, including but not limited to; meeting daily production targets; ensuring scheduling is timely and accurate; reporting of performance
- Ensure staff receive relevant and required training as per company standards and regulatory requirements. Manage the review and closure of technician training packages.
- Lead, manage and develop the Packaging, Staging, Warehouse Teams; setting goals, establishing plans for their on-going development and providing timely feedback (including but not limited to; annual performance reviews, PIP, etc.)
- Drive compliance of SOPs, GMP and Health and Safety policies and procedures
- Ensure all logístical activities are completed to support the delivery schedule
- Manage the staging of all required Packaging components prior to a packaging event
- Maintain a clean organized workspace, adopting 6S methodology, including material identification at all times (labels)
- Support and complete Quality Management System investigations as required. Including Deviation investigations, Corrective & Preventative Action (CAPA) plans, and Change Controls.
- Ensure full compliance with batch record protocol for day-to-day operations
- Responsible for SOP development and/or modifications to support implementation of new processes and equipment
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure efficient and appropriate use of resources to meet schedule/business/project requirements
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities and implement changes effectively and timely
- Support SAP transactions when required, including the receiving of all incoming materials and technical completion of all packaging process orders
- Support routine inventory counts, updating SAP inventory levels when required
- Approve and manage holiday time for all direct reports, ensuring time off does not conflict with the Packaging schedule

**SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Required Skills**:

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proven driver of excellence and execution, preferably within manufacturing environment
- Relentless in achieving goals and expectations in a rapidly changing environment
- Ability to establish and manage metrics, ensuring team ownership and focus to achieve
- Lead by example - proven experience in supervising teams
- Experience in GMP manufacturing or process development is preferred, lean manufacturing experience is an asset
- Familiar with shipping both domestically and internationally
- Familiar with WHMIS, Fire Prevention, Health Canada, and Occupational Health & Safety regulations
- Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of testing best practices and procedures

**Required Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in science and/or business; or equivalent work experience in related fields (packaging, manufacturing, logistics)
- Experience in a pharmaceutical/manufacturing environment
