**Join the What a Bagel Team - Customer Service & Food Prep Associate**

Are you dependable and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment? What a Bagel is looking for an energetic and customer-focused individual to join our team. We are dedicated to offering a wide variety of freshly baked goods, from breads and bagels to pastries and cakes.

**Responsibilities**:

- Greet and create a welcoming environment for customers.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Process payments accurately and manage cash till operations (opening, closing, and balancing).
- Assist customers in selecting products and provide recommendations.
- Fulfill outside vendor orders (UberEats, Skip the Dishes, DoorDash) with speed and precision.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
- Answer customer inquiries in-person and over the phone.
- Prepare and serve hot items from the kitchen menu.
- Assemble and serve food items (bagels, salads, sandwiches) based on customer preferences.
- Prepare and slice fruits, vegetables, and specialty salads (tuna, egg, chicken) for food service.
- Collaborate with fellow employees to ensure smooth bakery operations.

**Requirements**:

- Valid **Food Handler Certificate**.
- **1+ year of experience** in the food industry.
- Availability to work **weekends and holidays**.

**Skills**:

- **Cashiering**: Proficiency in handling cash transactions efficiently.
- **Time Management**: Ability to manage tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- **Customer Service**: Exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills.
- **Organizational**: Strong ability to maintain an organized workspace.
- **Phone Etiquette**: Professional interaction with customers over the phone.

Pay: From $17.20 per hour
