**Position Overview**

We are seeking a **Fitter** to work in our structural steel fabrication plant. The fitter is a skilled worker who assembles, aligns, and prepares structural steel components for welding.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Place and weld materials together, ensuring they meet strict quality control standards.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols to fabricate products.
- Work closely with welders to help construct various structural components based on the needs of the organization.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**
- High school diploma required.
- 1+ years of experience as a fitter in metal fabrication or heavy manufacturing is required.
- Ability to clearly interpret and understand blueprints, drawings, schematics and weld symbols.
- Strong understanding of mechanical fitting techniques.
- CWB certification is preferred and/or relevant training.
- Familiar with the set-up and operation of welding machines and other metal fabrication equipment.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job including standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy loads of up to 50 pounds, etc.
- Dexterity, attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Must be safety conscious and adhere to safety processes and policies.

**Location, Shift, Hours of Work & Working Conditions**
- **Location**: 62 Progress Crt, Brampton ON L6S5X2
- **Shift & Hours**:Weekday Shift
- Mon to Thur 6:30 am to 6:15 pm**:

- May be required to work additional hours based on plant needs
- Manufacturing floor environment with exposure to heat, noise, dust, and industrial equipment.
- Requires standing, lifting, and walking throughout the shift.
