**CHILD CARE FACILITATOR**

**(ROSTER)**

Duration of Contract: 1 year

**Responsibilities**:

- Providing a positive, stimulating and safe physical environment for children
- Planning and implementing programming for children aged 3-12years
- Program related administrative duties
- Planning and providing a weekly snack.
- Supporting children to meet their needs (social, emotional, physical etc.)

**Qualifications**:

- CYW/CYC, ECE certificate or equivalent or post-secondary education in Social'Human Services Field
- Experience working directly with children who have complex mental health needs.
- Experience caring and programming directly with toddlers, preschoolers and school-age children
- Experience in creating & implementing children’s programs activities
- Ability to interact positively with parents in a respectful and non-judgmental manner
- Strong interpersonal skills and the understanding of working from an anti-oppressive and culturally sensitive framework
- Flexibility and availability to work evening hours
- Knowledge of attachment theory and skills in supporting the development of secure attachment, knowledge of developmental issues of young children, and the impact of domestic violence in children
- Experience in supporting children’s social, emotional and physical needs.
- First aid and CPR certification
- Hourly rate $23.00/hour
