**Job Overview**
The QA Technician will provide a full range of strategic and operation support to ensure adherence to quality policies and procedures during the production process. The incumbent will be responsible for administration of GMP’s, Quality and Food Safety Training, conducting Food Safety/Quality Audits of all areas of facility.
**Responsibilities**:
- Perform regular inspections and audits on production lines to ensure adherence to food safety and quality standards.
- Monitor and document critical control points (CCPs) in the production process in accordance with HACCP guidelines.
- Conduct product testing (e.g., microbiological, physical, and sensory) to ensure product quality and safety.
- Ensure compliance with SQF certification standards, maintaining records and documentation to support audits.
- Support the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to food safety and quality control.
- Assist with internal and external audits and address any non-compliance issues.
- Collaborate with production teams to identify areas for improvement in processes, products, and safety protocols.
- Review and investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues, providing corrective actions as necessary.
- Conduct training sessions for production staff on food safety and quality assurance best practices.
- Maintain and update food safety and quality assurance documentation and records.
**Qualifications**:
- Post-secondary education in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
- HACCP and SQF certification required.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a food manufacturing or food safety role.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
**Preferred Skills**:
- Experience with other food safety and quality management systems is an asset (e.g., SQF).
- Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and other food safety certifications.
- Familiarity with food manufacturing equipment and processes.

Pay: $22.50-$26.50 per hour
