Aero Delivery is a Saskatoon based distribution company specializing in the transportation and warehousing of food products for over 60 years.

**Aero Delivery has an immediate opening for Full-Time Permanent Shop Maintenance Manager in our Fleet Repair & Maintenance facility Prairie Fleet Services in Saskatoon.**

The Fleet Maintenance Manager is responsible for the overall management of vehicle maintenance and repair facilities. This position provides management oversight with strong leadership and interpersonal skills for all staff.

Your responsibilities will include the leadership and direction of the fleet maintenance mechanics to ensure the effective use of resources, inventory, time and capital, coordination of training and initiatives to all staff within the department, as well as safe work practices within the shop will be at the forefront of this position.

**Duties and Responsibilities are but not limited to**:

- Responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the shop
- Coordinating daily tasks following priorities and plans, adjusting as required
- Hands on mechanical work is required
- Providing input regarding discipline, termination, and hiring of shop employees
- Ensure all tools and equipment are safe to use and operated in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications.
- Enforcing all policies and procedures to ensure work is completed safely.
- Conduct yearly performance reviews with staff
- Provide staff with leadership, guidance and effective communication
- Ensure compliance with manufactures training, guidelines and warranty procedures
- Ensure repairs are bring prioritized accordingly
- Parts inventory levels are appropriate for the needs of the garage
- 3rd party repairs are scheduled and verified
- Proper preventative maintenance schedules are up to date and current
- Scheduling PM repairs and safeties
- Partake in third party vendor disputes, issue resolution, warranty and recall needs.
- Implement strategies to optimize workflow and operation efficiency
- Performs the role in a professional manner that aligns with the Company’s’ values and ideals
- Ability to work extra hours as needed.

**Safety**
- Daily huddles
- Circle check audits
- Assists with the coordination of truck repairs
- Be a member and vital part of safety training initiatives in the area surrounding our drivers and equipment
- Assists and coordinates safety initiatives to ensure compliance with expected timetables

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of five years previous experience in shop/ fleet management
- Familiarity with office management procedures
- Knowledge of Medium/Heavy Duty Trucks and their operational needs is required
- Strong truck/trailer knowledge
- Good grasp of Microsoft Office suite and data management skills
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Work effectively as both a team player and an individual contributor
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with all tools of the trade
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work independently
- Experience with reefers would be an additional asset.

**This is a Monday to Friday Position**
