**OPERATOR (RA JONES MACHINE)**

As a RA Jones Technologist, you oversee running the machine to produce, and packing capsules in compliance with the customers’ expectations, the quality standards, and the health and safety procedures. You are responsible for setting up, adjusting, and troubleshooting the machines until a quality product has been produced. You participate in production improvement.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Prepare the changeover (Sizing parts)
- Aids Quality Assurance with regards to in-process inspection if/as required
- Review production schedule and documentation to determine what product will be run on which machine
- Maintain shift log of production and other data
- Perform preventive maintenance on RA Jones machine as per schedule
- Control HMI to operate Pump and RA Jones Packaging machine
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot alarms for both RA Jones and Constant piston pump
- Ensure a high-quality production (e.g., cleaning the machine and the work area, making ink, filling the alcohol, change sizing parts, etc.)
- Check products for defects and to ensure conformance to company standards
- Ability to concentrate for long periods of time and exercise good manual dexterity
- Mechanical aptitude an asset
- Maintain general housekeeping of Production areas. Keep all processing equipment off the floor and in proper storage areas
- Assist operator filling boxes by staging empty boxes on table if there is time available
- Availability to work a 3 shifts rotation, including coverage of unexpected leaves of absences and vacation and overtime as required
- ability to work according to tight schedules and timelines, and can work independently as well as in a team environment
- Strict adherence to DSI Underground’s Health and Safety program.

**REQUIRED COMPETENCIES**
- Process plant or related industrial experience an asset.
- Mechanical knowledge
- Experience with Packaging equipment.
- Solid organization and time management abilities.
- Strong computer skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills combined with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- High level of personal integrity with a strong work ethic.
- Knowledge of HMI an asset.

**EDUCATION**
- Minimum 2-year Mechanical technician, technologist, or diploma in related.
