**Instructor - Health Care Assistant (HCA) & Practical Nursing (PN) Programs**
**Location**: VaCC Burnaby Campus
**Start Date**: September 8
**Schedule**: Monday to Friday, 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM (Evening Classes)
**Compensation**: $34-$38 per hour

**Job Overview**

VaCC Burnaby is seeking an experienced and passionate **Instructor** to deliver engaging classroom and clinical instruction for students in the **Health Care Assistant (HCA)** and **Practical Nursing (PN)** programs. This is an evening role offering a dynamic opportunity to support student learning and professional growth.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Deliver instruction in accordance with the program curriculum
- Teach and supervise students in both **classroom and clinical settings**:

- Prepare lesson plans and instructional materials
- Provide constructive feedback on student performance
- Clearly communicate course objectives, assignments, and expectations
- Attend departmental and HCA/PN Committee meetings
- Participate in curriculum development and evaluation
- Maintain accurate student records and submit reports in a timely manner
- Support and uphold college policies and procedures
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices

**Qualifications**
- ** Current LPN license** in good standing with **CLPNBC (BCCNM)**:

- Degree, diploma, or certificate from a recognized institution
- Minimum **2 years of relevant industry experience**:

- Instructional experience or teaching certification is an asset
- Strong communication, organization, and facilitation skills
- Passion for teaching and student success
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members and practicum coordinators
- Professional, ethical, and student-focused approach
