Equipment Operator
The equipment operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of multiple pieces of construction equipment. The equipment operator is proficient in the use of a diverse range of construction equipment, including, **Excavators, Loaders,** Dozers, Rollers/Packers, Graders, Skid steers, Rosco brooms, and other pieces of equipment.
The responsibilities of Equipment Operator include, but are not limited to:
- Capable of operating multiple pieces of construction equipment used in underground construction, base preparation, and chip sealing.
- Operate all heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.
- Preform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment.
- Conduct pre-operational checks on the equipment, and clean, lubricate, and refill all fluids as needed
- Maintain proper awareness of one’s surroundings.
- Train new employee in a safe and efficient operation of construction equipment.
- Promote, execute, and adhere to the company’s safety program
- Report all incidents, near misses to health and safety.
- Comply with the company’s health and safety program.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal
**Salary**: $25.00-$28.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekend availability
**Experience**:
- heavy equipment operator: 3 years (preferred)
