Job Summary:
Porter Airlines is looking for a Lead Program Manager to join our Solutions Delivery team. In this position, you will oversee a portfolio of projects and lead a team of Project Managers. You will be responsible for the conceptualization and analysis stages of our implementation cycle. The Lead Program Manager reports directly to the Solutions Delivery Manager.

The Solutions Delivery team at Porter Airlines is leading technology and large corporate projects with a focus on ensuring scalable customer experience strategies and solutions. The Project Management team will work collaboratively with the business, technology and front-line teams to identify and document requirements for high-value, cross-functional projects.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Lead a team of 1 to 4 project managers in working with cross-functional teams to implement projects and programs throughout the organization.
- Develop and own the portfolio roadmap, working closely with the project managers and technology and digital leaders to ensure resource availability and manage constraints.
- Provide thoughtful feedback, guidance, support, and encouragement to the project managers to implement projects and work through roadblocks.
- Chairs portfolio & program level updates to review progress with key team members and executives
- Support the annual corporate planning & prioritization and monthly project intake processes
- Support the implementation of project management best practices by maintaining project artifacts, archives and toolsets to be used within the Solutions Delivery team and throughout the organization.
- Lead specific projects or programs as required
- Participate in recruiting and hiring of project managers
- Promote a culture of innovation and teamwork.
- Actively participate in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS) including, reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply and promote the Company Safety Policy

Qualifications:

- Minimum 8 years professional experience working as a project manager
- A bachelor’s degree is required; however a master’s degree is an asset
- Ability to provide cross-functional leadership for multiple high-profile technology and business initiatives at one time and the ability to provide steady leadership and mentorship to team members in a fast-paced, ever-changing, deadline-driven environment
- Minimum 3 years leading, coaching and/or mentoring teams
- Must have excellent writing, speaking and presentation skills
- Must be highly proactive, have extensive program-solving abilities and possess critical and strategic thinking skills
- Ability to cope with stress and resilience to work across a number of projects with a variety of team members and balance own workload
- Travel or airline industry experience preferred
