**About you**:
This is the perfect job for someone who wants to gain experience as a writer/researcher in a high-quality, ambitious, and international environment. This is a remote position, where you’ll get the opportunity to work with content writers, editors, and creators from all across the U.S and the world. You’ll become an important part of a project filled with purpose, one that empowers citizens, voters, and elected officials with digital tools and grassroots initiatives both locally and nationally.

Concretely, in this role you’ll be:
**Helping readers understand key issues**

Explain what the issues are about and what are its most important aspects

**Showing what’s so heated about these discussions**

Help citizens better understand both sides of each issue

**Helping readers understand what’s at stake for them**

Give readers the opportunity to think these issues through and better be able to position themselves

**Giving a rock-solid toolkit for people who are stuck on how they should vote**

Give high-quality unbiased content to voters who are searching for non-partisan information

**Engaging new voters**

Entice new voters of every age, background, and ethnicity into the political process by showing them why these issues matter

**Key Duties**:

- Write articles that explain both sides of a hot-button political & social issues
- Create content according to weekly batch assignments
- Follow style guidelines and best practices for structured content
- Revise content to ensure that it fairly represents both sides of a political issue
- Incorporate original polling and survey data into individual articles and content

**Education/Experience**:

- Previous experience writing on political and/or social issues impartially
- Have/Be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher in either investigative journalism, political science, or any related field**Skills**:
