**Primary purpose**:
The Facilities Support Technician is a critical role designed to ensure the comprehensive health and functionality of all campus locations. This professional will oversee and coordinate the seamless operation of facilities services across the College, ensuring that infrastructure and equipment perform optimally, and that remediation and maintenance plans are executed flawlessly. Hands-on responsibilities are fundamental to this role, demanding a versatile skill set that spans various operational domains.

The Facilities Support Technician will support the vision, mission, and values of triOS College while contributing to a positive, supportive and student-focused team environment of respect, integrity, dedication and readiness; embracing diversity and fostering inclusion.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Assist Lead Facilities Technician.
- Work proactively with the Campus Directors, IT support team, IT Operations and the Field Support & Facilities Coordinator to ensure the campuses are properly maintained.
- Act as a point of contact for contractors, equipment suppliers, and property management, ensuring all campus facilities meet the highest standards.
- Manage regular and emergency maintenance and repairs of mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems in close collaboration with the Field Support Lead.
- Champion the company-wide Health and Safety programs, including the coordination of fire warden training and emergency drills.
- Facilitate as a senior liaison during building renovations and new construction projects, ensuring that facilities standards are met.
- Oversee the setup of new locations, from drawing verifications to the fulfillment of space needs.
- Perform installations and maintenance tasks such as in-wall data cabling, alignment, and installation of rub strips and projector mounts in classrooms and troubleshoot common facilities issues.
- Innovate and implement solutions to complex problems encountered on campuses, enhancing the learning and working environment.
- Install and/or update critical classroom facilities elements like whiteboards, projectors, screens, and blinds, contributing to the optimal educational experience.
- Other duties as assigned, and which are in the best interests of the College.

**What you bring to the position**:

- Trade school diploma, practical experience, or equivalent in electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or other facilities-related fields.
- Trade school diploma, practical experience, or equivalent in a related field.
- At least 5+ years of experience in facilities within a business or educational environment.
- Basic IT skills, including the installation of classroom switches and setting up PCs, would be nice to have.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Vizio and general computer usage.
- AutoCAD Experience would be an asset.
- Advanced knowledge of facilities fundamentals, including data cabling, electrical systems, plumbing, and commercial HVAC concepts.
- Manual dexterity and coordination with the ability to employ basic and advanced tools effectively.
- This position required travel to all campuses within Ontario.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate efficiently and manage expectations across multiple campus locations.
