Automation Technician

Job Overview
The automation technician provides technical support for automated handling equipment in warehouses. The employee will work with PLC engineers, software developers, and software support engineers to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair mechanical/electrical/pneumatic systems. The employee will be part of an on-site customer service team to ensure that the systems operate at a high level of efficiency.
Shifts to be filled:
**Night shift **(9:30 PM to 6:00 AM)
Essential Functions:
Must have mechanical skills.
Able to troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and align electrical and mechanical machines in automated systems.
Works independently with little or no supervision.
Capable of reading and editing electrical, mechanical, and layout drawings.
Participates in the preventive maintenance program to minimize production downtime.
Monitors the performance of the machine in the automated system.
Demonstrates organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Actively communicates with team members, clients, and on-site supervisors.
May occasionally work extended hours, weekends, and holidays to support customer service and change requests.
May travel to other sites for paid training, installations, and employee coverage during vacations.
Qualification Requirements:
A degree or diploma in automation technology, electromechanics, or a similar field.
Valid driver's license.
1 to 3 years of equipment maintenance experience (preferably).
