**Coordinator, Communications and Student Experience**

The Coordinator, Communications and Student Experience is a pivotal role within the Student Representative Council (SRC), dedicated to enhancing the student journey through exceptional communication, branding, and event support. This contract coverage (15-18 months) opportunity offers a unique chance to step into a dynamic position that combines creativity, leadership, and organizational expertise to deliver impactful initiatives that foster engagement and community on campus.

As the Coordinator, you will serve as a key liaison between the SRC, students, staff, and external partners, ensuring seamless communication and alignment of goals. From managing digital platforms and promotional campaigns to overseeing event logistics and merchandise, you will play a vital role in shaping a vibrant and inclusive student experience.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Collaborate with Events Coordinator regarding the programming, budgeting, and scheduling of events calendar.
- Office correspondence editor of all documents and communications - internal and externally generated by the SRC.
- Oversee the content of the SRC’s website, and liaison with the college’s IT department for the website’s administration.
- Work alongside Digital Media Coordinator on the oversight of the annual day planner printing process/distribution to students/campuses.
- Develop and produce monthly e-newsletter detailing SRC services and events.
- Manage the creation, ordering and sales of SRC merchandise and swag through platforms like Shopify and Square
- Address inquiries submitted via the SRC website “Contact Us” page and direct them to appropriate staff or channels.
- Work with the Board of Directors to review and approve monthly initiatives and provide support and consultation to facilitate ideas.
- Work alongside Digital Marketing Coordinator to create engaging social media campaigns utilizing SRC Videographers with Manager, Facilities & South Campus Building Operations
- Oversee Health Bot units resolving technical issues and managing inventory and purchasing.
- Ensure functionality and stock levels of Joni menstrual product machines.
- Work alongside the Executive Director to manage budget for promotional/branding use -swag, merch, advertising, etc.
- Supervise and schedule the promo team student staff including managing payroll.
- Manage student-photographer team to ensure SRC events have sufficient coverage, weekly schedules/payroll.
- Act as the liaison with contracted ad sales agencies and printers.

**Desirable Professional Qualifications**
- An education in public relations, advertising and marketing, or journalism.
- Relevant workplace experience in communications, marketing, or related fields.
- Experience with budget preparation and management.
- Knowledge of the entertainment booking/contract-negotiation system
- Familiarity with liquor service regulations and restrictions (age-of-majority), and methodology to enforce them.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and guidelines pertaining to entertainment venues/event stagging.
- Familiarity with computer software, particularly the Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, Zoom, event ticketing platforms etc.

**Desirable Personale Qualities/Traits**
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Personable, with a strong hospitality-orientated approach to networking and engagement
- Highly organized with strong time management skills, capable of multitasking, problem-solving, and taking initiative.
- Positive attitude toward college-aged young adults and their interests.
- Available to work flexible hours, including some nights and occasional weekends
- Take initiative to identify and execute tasks independently, ensuring timely completion of projects with mínimal supervision.
