**About the job**:
Modern Veterinary Therapeutics is seeking an Animal Health Pharmaceutical Sales Representative for Alberta BOVINE/EQUINE product lines. May live in any city between Red Deer & Edmonton.
Function: To develop and maintain a partner relationship with practicing small animal and production animal veterinarians by providing high quality products
**Essential functions**:
1. Achieve and/or exceed sales and promotional goals as directed by management
2. Effectively develop and manage all veterinary accounts for large animals (pigs/cattle/horses).
3. Effectively manage and build privileged relationships with veterinarians, clinic staff, representatives of purchasing groups and partners working in the assigned territory.
**Additional Responsibilities**:
1. Provide market data and information regarding competitive products. Submit information about promotions, prices, etc.
2. Work local veterinary tradeshow exhibit booth as requested by management.
3. Present a professional image.
4. Maintain all company property in excellent condition.
**Relations and contacts**:
Internal: Weekly contact with assigned personnel regarding sales and marketing issues.
External: Veterinary hospitals and schools, general veterinarians, producers, stores, feedlots, distributors, etc.
**Preferred qualifications**:
- Experience in pharmaceutical sales, preferably in the animal health industry is required. Product training will be provided.
