The **Quality Inspector** is responsible for ensuring that all incoming, in-process, and final products meet customer-defined specifications and comply with national and international standards. This role involves conducting inspections, verifying product certifications, and identifying nonconforming materials to maintain the highest quality standards within the organization. **Key Responsibilities**: - Perform dimensional and visual inspections of incoming, in-process, and final products per standard inspection plans. - Verify product certifications, including mill test reports, material test reports, certificates of compliance, NDE reports, and heat treatment reports. - Identify nonconforming products, generate nonconformance reports, and submit them to the QA Manager for disposition. - Ensure inspection and test equipment is properly maintained and used according to procedures. - Maintain Inspection gages and equipment calibrations, update calibration status records. - Document inspection findings, scan quality records, and maintain accurate traceability of products. - Work closely with purchasing, order desk, and warehouse teams to ensure quality control measures are followed. **Qualifications & Experience**: - Minimum 5 years of experience in quality control within a mechanical component - manufacturing environment. With Technical college Diploma (minimum) - Certification as a machinist is considered an asset. - Strong knowledge of measuring equipment and ability to interpret technical drawings and control plans. Interpretation of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) - Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) using MCOSMOS or PC - DMIS software is an advantage. - Familiarity with ferrous & non-ferrous materials, engineering plastics, and basic - knowledge of various manufacturing processes (machining, welding, casting, - forging, molding, extrusion, etc.). - Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel). - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, report product quality related issues - with internal teams. - Detail-oriented, analytical thinker with the ability to multitask and work independently. **Working Conditions**: Work is primarily conducted in a temperature-controlled quality lab (20°-21°C). **Employment Type**: Full-time, on premises. - Highly organized and detail-oriented with a strong understanding of quality assurance principles. - Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving quality issues. - Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams - A customer-oriented mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
