**Summary**:
The Quality Inspector is responsible for performing in-process and final inspection of Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBA’s) as per IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 standards, recording the results, and assisting assembly personnel as required.

**Job Duties**:

- Perform in-process and final inspection prior to shipment of product in accordance with written procedures and customer documentation.
- Examine complex PCB and complex cable/harness assemblies utilizing visual and mechanical methods.
- Inspect and validate solder quality, polarities, values, and placements of various components on PCBs in accordance with IPC-A-610
- Work with supervision to define appropriate inspection and acceptance criteria.
- Assist other members of QC team when required with limited level of assembly required
- Following all Health & Safety and Electro-static Discharge (ESD) safe practices
- All other duties as may be assigned

**Education & Experience**:

- Degree or Diploma in Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, or Industrial Technology preferred
- Minimum 3-years’ experience in a similar role
- Working knowledge of quality inspection standards
- Understanding of IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001 considered a strong asset
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 preferred

**Skills & Abilities**:

- Ability to use microscopes for extended periods
- Competence to use x-ray machine safely and efficiently
- Understanding of soldering defects and how to identify non-conforming material
- Demonstrated ability with the use of hand tools and gauges
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Proven problem-solving skills with root cause analysis using 8D and problem-solving techniques
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated diplomacy and professionalism.
- Ability to work with competing priorities in a time-sensitive environment
- Excellent organizational, time management and prioritizing skills.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Quality inspection: 3 years (required)
- Electronics Manufacturing: 2 years (preferred)
