**Line-Cook Responsibilities**:

- Sets up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies
- Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces
- Cooks’ food items by various cooking methods to specified recipes and standards
- Maintain cleanliness and follows food sanitation requirements
- Cleans and sanitizes cooking surfaces at the end of the shift
- Performs inventory checks and completes food storage logs performance
- Prepares food properly under pressure
- Helps with the training of new employees
- Monitors and maintains kitchen equipment.

**Line-Cook Skills / Qualifications**:

- Familiarity with industry’s best practices
- Basic written and verbal communication skills
- Accuracy and speed in executing tasks
- Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and procedures
- Time-management skills
- Ability to work under high pressure
- Ability to work as a team member

**Education and Experience Requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Kitchen experience is considered an asset
- Formal culinary training can be helpful
